Welcome to Liberty High School, home of the Lancer Nation. I am honored to be the principal of this amazing school.

I am now in my 26th year in education.  I have spent my first ten years as a high school business and marketing teacher and am starting my 16th year as an administrator – all at Liberty.  I was an assistant principal and activities director for seven year and am now enjoying my 9th year as Liberty’s principal.

I am a graduate of Hot Springs High School in the Black Hills of South Dakota (Go Bison!), received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of South Dakota, Vermillion (Go Coyotes!), a Masters of Education from Colorado State University, Fort Collins (Go Rams!), and received an administrator’s license from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs (Go Mountain Lions!). I love being at the high school level and watching our students transition from teenagers to young men and women. Your students are receiving a world class education from a dedicated staff who put student learning first.  When I am not at school or attending school functions,I like to spend time with my wife, kids, and dogs. I am a big fan of football and soccer and like to play video games whenever there is some spare time.

Assistant Principal

Welcome to Liberty High School! Proud to call Colorado Springs home since 1986, I was born in Michigan and raised around the world courtesy of the U.S. Army. After graduating from Widefield High School (Go Glads!), I earned my Bachelors of Music Education from the University of Northern Colorado (Go Bears!) and returned to Colorado Springs to begin my teaching career at Mitchell High School. While teaching at Mitchell, I soon returned to higher education to earn my Masters of Arts in Education: Administration & Supervision from the University of Phoenix. I had the honor of joining the administration at Liberty High School (Go Lancers!) in the fall of 2005 as the Dean of Students. Since the fall of 2009, I have served as an Assistant Principal and am excited to now be the administrator for the Class of 2022!  I love working with high school students and watching them grow into young adults! When I am not at Liberty, I cherish spending time with my husband, kids, family and friends.

Assistant Principal & Athletic Director
I am D20 graduate, and a 1994 graduate of the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs with BA in History.  I completed my teaching license through Regis University in 1996, and M.Ed. in Education Administration from Grand Canyon University in 2003.  I also earned my Certified Athletic Administrator (CAA) certification through the NIAAA in 2014.   This is my seventh year as the Assistant Principal/Athletic Director at Liberty High School, and my 26th year in education.
Assistant Principal

Welcome to the Lancer Nation! This will be my sixth year at Liberty High School and I am delighted and honored to be serving as the assistant principal for the Class of 2021. I am a proud graduate of Kansas State University where I earned a degree in mathematics and secondary education. I also hold two masters degrees from UCCS -- one in Educational Technology and the other in Curriculum & Instruction.  I have been an administrator for 16 years serving as a director of assessment, director of curriculum and instruction, and as an assistant principal. (Being an assistant principal is by far my most favorite!) Prior to administration, I spent many great years in the classroom teaching mathematics. Growing up in an Army family allowed me to see the world.  I then married my husband Jeff, who was career Air Force, and as a result have been a proud military dependent all my life.  All of those years with the military added up to 26 moves across the globe.  Jeff and I have two great kids (who are actually adults and on their own though much of their stuff and one cat is still at our house) and we enjoy visiting them whenever we can. In our free time, you can find us at any Lancer event -- sporting events, concerts, plays, you name it!

Dean of Students
Welcome to Liberty High School!  I am very excited and honored to be a part of the Liberty community (Go Lancers)!  I have been a teacher in District 20 since 2005.  I earned a degree in English Language Arts and received my teaching license from Colorado State University-Pueblo.  While teaching, I earned a Masters of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and completed the Educational Leadership program at Adams State University.  My husband and I are both Colorado natives, and we have two great kids – both are in college.  When I am not at Liberty, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading a good book, and hiking in our beautiful mountains.  I am looking forward to another great year with the students, families, and staff at Liberty!
