MR. ALAN THIMMIG
Principal
Welcome to Liberty High School, home of the Lancer Nation. I am honored to be the Principal of this amazing school.
I am now in my 28th year in education.
I have spent my first ten years as a high school business and marketing teacher and am starting my 18th year as an administrator – all at Liberty. I was an Assistant Principal and activities director for seven year and am now enjoying my 11th year as Liberty’s Principal.
I am a graduate of Hot Springs High School in the Black Hills of South Dakota (Go Bison!), received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of South Dakota, Vermillion (Go Coyotes!), a Masters of Education from Colorado State University, Fort Collins (Go Rams!), and received an administrator’s license from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs (Go Mountain Lions!). I love being at the high school level and watching our students transition from teenagers to young men and women. Your students are receiving a world class education from a dedicated staff who put student learning first. When I am not at school or attending school functions, I like to spend time with my wife, kids, and dogs. I am a big fan of football and soccer and like to play video games whenever there is some spare time.
MS. KELLY HOYLE
Assistant Principal
I was raised in a small town in eastern Colorado and feel extremely proud to have been born in this beautiful state.

I earned my bachelor's degree in English with an emphasis in Secondary Education from the University of Northern Colorado (GO BEARS). My lifelong dream of becoming an educator and the passion for teaching students became a reality in the fall of 2003. In my sixteen years in education, I have attained my master's degree in Educational Leadership and principal licensure from Adams State University and served as an English teacher, department chair, Dean of Students, and Assistant Principal. I am beyond grateful that my educational path has led me to Liberty High School, home of the Lancer Nation. This decision has enabled me to serve and support the LHS student body, staff, and parents along with the District 20 community. I will be starting my third year at Liberty and sixth year as an Assistant Principal serving the Class of 2020.
