What We Do

We will be successful as a program due to our intense loyalty to our teammates, coaches and school. Our goal, as a program at Liberty High School, is to perform at a peak or championship level. We will not reach this goal unless we commit to playing tough Offense, Defense and Special teams. Nothing worth having was ever achieved without hard work and discipline.  We will not be intimidated by adversity, nor any team or individual, but will respect their efforts and have great confidence in our own. As an extremely loyal team carved by hard work and leadership, together, we will make a difference.

We believe that a great football team is based on a sound philosophy in all 3 phases. Coaches and Players alike must follow through with these expectations and commitments.  As coaches, expectations are placed on us as well.  If we say we are going to get this done together, then as a staff we must be held accountable. We will do everything in our power to help you succeed both on and off the field. Loyalty is a two-way street. We believe there are three areas in which you can count on us:

  1. Honesty
The word honesty is critical in building a team. Our coaches will be extremely honest in our dealing with you as players. In your approach to us as a staff, you need to feel comfortable in your communication with us.  We will treat you the way we want to be treated. Our honesty at times will seem very blunt, but by no means will it be demeaning. Effective leaders are clear and straightforward in their interactions with others and that’s what you can expect from us.

  2. Respectful
The game of football is very demanding. It takes a special person to make the commitment to play this game. As a staff, we respect this commitment you make. We respect your goal of wanting to be a great football player. To accomplish this we must be consistent in our dealings with you. Consistency is a key to the success of our program. Although adversity will arise, as a defensive staff we will be respectful to your needs.

  3. Determined
As a coaching staff, it is our goal to be leaders and to provide vision and direction. Our defensive staff’s philosophy is to work extremely hard and allow us a chance to be successful.  Mediocrity will not be accepted in our constant drive to be successful. We will channel all your efforts toward a single desired outcome. Each day we are faced with opportunities. These opportunities can either be successes or failures based on our determination. We will not be outworked and that is our commitment to you.
