Liberty's yearbook group members attended the Journalism Education Association (JEA) and National Scholastic Press Association (NSPA) conference in Boston at the beginning of November. Over 4,000 students participated in the conference in early November. Sessions were offered for photo editing, design, and journalism. Liberty's Editor in Chief, senior Emily Robertson, met with the photographer from the Boston Red Sox and received feedback on her portfolio while discussing life as a professional photographer. Senior and yearbook student Ava Dawes won an "Excellent" standing for a portrait photographer. This is a national award in which Ava submitted work, competed against thousands of students and pictures, and attended a critique session at the conference before winning.

The yearbook team toured Boston during the trip and photographed the beautiful city cloaked in fall foliage, the Harvard and Boston Museums, and other historic sites.

Thank you to the yearbook staff sponsor, Eilidh Gill, Liberty teachers and trip sponsors Brad Capra and Catalina Stratienco for supporting an amazing learning experience!
