Physical Education teachers Dalton Smith and Aleisha Heier brought their Sports Training courses to visit the D1 athletic training facility in Colorado Springs on Thursday, February 22nd. Students had the opportunity to work with certified coaches in drills and exercises emphasizing the importance of speed, agility, and strength. They ended the day with team-building activities to increase camaraderie and a competitive mindset.

Liberty's Sports Training course focuses on building athletic performance, reducing the risk of sports-related injuries, and appreciating lifelong fitness. The course includes free weights exercises, calisthenics, plyometrics, and teaching proper running mechanics. It is offered to grades 10-12 after completing physical education prerequisites.
