A late April blizzard forced the Relay for Life to move from the District 20 Stadium to Liberty's gym on Saturday, April 27th, but the participants didn't let the chilly weather keep them down. From 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., teams walked, ran, jogged, skipped around the gym to raise funds for the American Cancer Society.

The Relay, hosted by Liberty's National Honor Society, exceeded the school's $20,000 goal, raising $24,750 through the month of April. Events included spirit days, donuts, luminaria sales, an online auction, and a lunchtime donation rally that earned Mrs. Harris, National Honor Society sponsor, a face full of slime!

Thank you to all who donated and participated to make this event a huge success!
