Liberty senior Avery Turner serves as the Director of Programs for Bloom, an organization started by military teens to support others within the military community and elevate their voices. Avery writes about her experiences in her military family, bringing light to difficult situations like moving, saying goodbye, and making new friends. Avery is also a Liberty Girls Swim and Dive Team member, earning 18th place in diving at the 2023 4A Colorado High School Girls Championships. Avery is at the top of her class in academics, with a GPA of over 4.6.
Avery was interviewed and selected for the "Girls Leading Change," a program First Lady Jill Biden sponsors. These young women were nominated, interviewed, and selected for their leadership in environmental issues, inclusion, mental health, and education.
